We’re looking for a Product Manager to join our team to help us build the new Creator Marketplace on Yoto.

Yoto is a screen-free interactive audio platform for kids. We make carefully connected audio players that kids control, with no microphones, cameras or ads. We have a catalogue of audio that inspires creative play and learning with 1,000+ titles in our card store from top creators, publishers and labels - think Disney, Marvel, Roald Dahl and Universal Music. We also create Yoto Originals like this one.

Yoto’s Innovation Team

The Innovation Team plays a pivotal role in imagining the future at Yoto and realising the company mission to be the soundtrack of childhood. We do that by helping to define the shape of the ecosystem of products and experiences that supports the needs of families and grows with kids throughout their childhood.

And as the Yoto platform evolves to support a community of audio makers, educational content creators and accessory makers, we imagine that future, too, and help lay the tracks towards that vision.

Creators on Yoto

For the last 18 months we have been nurturing new creative talent on our community site, Yoto Space, and giving creators an Open Mic to share their original audio in Yoto format - all free to access for families around the world to enjoy.

The Creators pilot takes the next step, and audio makers can now publish their content on printed Yoto Cards, sold on the Yoto Store, or even sold through a Creator’s own channels. It’s like ‘Etsy for kids audio’ and we’re really excited about how it can help us find and support the talent of tomorrow, and bring fresh new voices to Yoto families everywhere.

How it works? Anyone can apply to become a creator, their work needs to meet our standards to be considered, and creators pay up front for manufacture of printed cards, then earning a royalty when they make a sale. Ambitious and talented Creators can bring new audiences to Yoto, and increase the breadth of content available to all families on Yoto.


What you’ll be doing:

• Driving the Creators initiative as we move from a pilot launch to building it into a proper product.
• Working with the team to bring a regular cadence of Creator releases through to the Yoto Store, building on the manual processes established for the pilot launch.
• Working with the Product, Tech & Content teams to both optimise the present day product (moderation process, content ingestion, search on store, small and medium changes that build into a better experience for all), as well as...
• Being a stakeholder for longer term foundational enablers like Creator Tools, Creator Payments, Content Discoverability, etc.
• Work with the Creator Success Manager to understand and capture requirements from Creators.
• Working with the Community Team to develop tools and better support our community of Creators.
  

What you’ll bring:

• Proven experience in product management, with a focus on launching and scaling user-centric initiatives.
  
• Strong ability to manage day-to-day operations, and a willingness to employ a startup mindset as well as a scale-up one.
  
• Skilled in cross-functional collaboration with product, tech, and content teams.
  
• Experience acting as a key stakeholder in strategic projects, including tool development, payout integrations, and content discoverability improvements.
  
• Excellent communication and community engagement skills, with the ability to align initiatives with data-driven insights.
  
• Demonstrated organizational and leadership ability to coordinate with multiple internal teams, ensuring a cohesive and aligned approach to program execution.
  
• Bonus points for:
  
• Familiarity with content creation platforms or tools, especially in the context of building ecosystems for creators.
  
• Experience in content moderation at scale, and automated media moderation tools.
  
• Experience in sourcing and managing third party suppliers
  

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 based on experience

• Flexibility: Hybrid working with a choice based approach - we would love you to come into the office as much as possible, with a minimum of once or twice a month. Take advantage of our ‘work from anywhere’ policy to work from a different location for up to 6 weeks every year. Summer Hours policy to use between the months of June and August.
