Product Manager
Unibuddy, a successful Series B business based in London and with teams distributed across Europe, India and North America, is looking to bring in a strong Product Lead to support us in the next phase of our delivering our mission. Our mission is to empower every student to make the right decisions along their higher education journey.
We are looking for an experienced product manager who is passionate about solving user needs and driving product growth.
We’ve recently launched a new student app that gives prospective university students and offer holders a utility in their pocket to help them gain confidence in their application or enrollment decisions. It’s set to be a killer tool to help our university customers be able to connect and enegage with prospective students and successfully nurture them through the recruitment cycle.
This Product Manager will be responsible for defining the strategy for this app, outlining how and where it can evolve to best support the whole end-to-end decision-making journey for a student. Ensuring at all times that it aligns with the commercial goals and creates exceptional user experiences. You will own the roadmap for this product area, conducting user research, analysing data, and collaborating with engineering in a squad to deliver it.
Responsibilities:
Product Discovery: Conducting user research, analysing user data, and gathering market insights to inform product decisions.
Product Delivery: Define, prioritise, and manage the backlog for your product area. Collaborate closely with engineering, design, and marketing to ensure successful product development and launch.
Product Optimisation: Monitor product performance, gather user feedback, and identify areas for improvement. Contribute to A/B testing and iterative product enhancements.
Communication & Collaboration: Effectively communicate product roadmap and progress to stakeholders. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, and marketing.
Documentation & Organisation: Maintain organised and up-to-date product documentation, including user stories, product specifications, and release notes.
Person Specification:
2+ years of experience in product management, with a proven track record of success in driving growth in a B2B2C or B2C technology environment, working within high-performing, cross-functional, self-organising Agile teams.
Experience in managing an iOS and Android App product, with demonstrable engagement/user retention experience.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, using both qualitative and quantitative data to inform product decisions
Passion for delivering exceptional user experiences and a deep understanding of UX principles.
You are approachable and hungry to collaborate with other business functions, knowing that you can’t solve complex problems alone
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively present ideas and influence stakeholders.
A key interest in emerging technologies and how they can be used to evolve your product offering
A strong understanding and interest in the higher education (or similar) sector and student needs is a plus, but not essential.
